Remembering President Kennedy during his 100th birthday year, retirees will travel by chartered bus to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington DC to see the musical comedy, The Book of Mormon. 

The Book of Mormon is "a nine-time Tony-winning Best Musical about the misadventures of a mismatched pair of missionaries sent halfway across the world to spread the Good Word" (from the Kennedy Center website).

The cost of the trip is $137.00.  The cost includes $95 for the show ticket and $42 for transportation. 

So that you have time to take in everything at the Kennedy Center, we will leave Morgantown from the Mountaineer Mall at 7:00 a.m.  We will stop at a rest area and plan to be in Washington around 11 a.m. 

There is a self-guided tour of the Kennedy Center that you should have time to do before the show.  It takes about an hour for the tour.  

Lunch will be on your own  The Kennedy Center houses two restaurants, the Roof Terrace and the KC Cafe.  They may have a Sunday buffet on the Roof Terrace on October 29.  If you are interested in the buffet, reservations are strongly recommended.  There is also a list of local restaurants on the website. 

The show starts at 1:30 p.m. and runs for 2 hours and 30 minutes with one intermission. 

We will leave the Kennedy Center after the show and stop in Frederick,  Maryland for dinner around 5:30 p.m.  We plan to leave Frederick at 7 p.m and be back in Morgantown between 9:30 and 10:00 p.m. 

Refund Policy:  Reservations for this trip are due by September 20, 2017.  On that day, we will make our commitment to the Kennedy Center and to Budget Charters.  As a result, we will not be able to make any refunds after that date.
