Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad Excursion
Wednesday, October 25, 2017
Registration for this event is closed.
The reservation deadline for this trip is October 18, 2017.
Members of the Retirees Association will travel by chartered bus to ride on the
Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad. Enjoy a narrated excursion through a tranquil
and pristine mountain valley. The valley is also the eastern home of the American
bald eagle. Don’t be surprised to see these superb flyers swooping overhead or gliding
gently across the skies. Bring your cameras and binoculars.
The cost of the trip is $76.00 per person. The cost includes transportation
and the train ticket.
We will leave Morgantown at 9:30 a.m. from the Mountaineer Mall. We will not
be stopping for lunch before boarding the train at 1:00 p.m. A concession car
is available to purchase snacks and drinks or you can bring your own lunch. Small
lunch bags and coolers are permitted on the train.
The train ride will take approximately three hours. We will leave Romney around
4 p.m. and will stop for dinner. Dinner will be on your own. Estimated arrival
time in Morgantown is approximately 8:30 p.m.
