As part of our philanthropic efforts, the Retirees Association will be providing dinner for the residents of Rosenbaum Family House on Friday evening, December 15, 2023.

Rosenbaum Family House offers an affordable and comfortable place to stay for families who travel to Morgantown to be with loved ones who have a serious illness or injury and who are in WVU hospitals. Free evening meals on week days are provided to guest families as well as anyone with a patient in WVU hospitals. The meals are provided by volunteer groups and provide a taste of home and an opportunity for fellowship.

We are asking members of the Retirees Association to help with this service activity. We provide food, drinks, paper products, and cutlery.  We could use your time and/or your donation.  Our board members do the food prep.  You can help us with serving and clean up.  However, the most important part of this activity is visiting with the guests.  Residents enjoy having groups spend time with them and talk with them during the meal.

Residents eat dinner from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  At 7:00 we begin clean up. Any time that you can give to this effort will be appreciated by the Association and by the residents. 

To make a donation towards costs, you can send a check to the WVU Retirees Association, PO Box 6640, Morgantown WV 26506.  Make your check out to the WVU Foundation and on the memo line write Rosenbaum - 2W924.

Family House is located directly across the parking lot from Ruby Memorial Hospital next to the Milan Puskar Football Stadium. The easiest access might be from University Avenue onto Inglewood Boulevard to Country Club Drive.
