Discover Croatia, Slovenia and The Adriatic Coast, August 6-17, 2020
The West Virginia University Retirees Association presents Discover Croatia, Slovenia
and the Adriatic Coast, a Collette tour beginning on August 6 through August 17,
2020.
Members of the Association will travel for 12 days and 10 nights to Dubrovnik,
the Dalmatian Coast, the Istrian Peninsula and Lake Bled. They will see Opatija,
the Riviera of Croatia, and explore Plitvice National Park where waterfalls cascade
down sheer cliffs, a UNESCO World Heritage site. They will explore an ancient
harbor town and step back into Roman times in Diocletian's Palace, another UNESCO
World Heritage site. There is also an optional excursion to Montenegro, known
as Europe's southernmost fjord.
The trip begins in Morgantown with your limo ride to the airport. Then it's
an overnight flight from Pittsburgh to Croatia. We have seats on hold for the
Retirees Association.
A presentation about the trip will be held on October 17, 2019 at 1 p.m. at the Erickson
Alumni Center. Jack Savage, our representative from Collette, will make the
presentation.
