Flashes of Freedom Fireworks, Tuesday, July 4, 2017

On July 4, 2017, members of the Association will travel by chartered bus to Pittsburgh for Flashes of Freedom. We will board the Gateway Clipper for a river cruise, dinner buffet, music for your entertainment, and the Independence Day fireworks on the Point.

We will be joining a trip with other Budget Charters travelers but we will grab our own table so that retirees can socialize together.

We will depart Morgantown at 3:00 p.m. from the Walmart on Hornbeck Road. Board the Clipper around 5:30 p.m. from Station Square to begin the cruise. Dinner will be at approximately 7:00 p.m.  We will listen to music as we continue our cruise and return to the Point around 9:30 p.m. in time for the fireworks. We will leave Pittsburgh after the fireworks to return to Morgantown around midnight.

The cost for the trip is $128.00 per person.

The trip fills up quickly so make your reservations early. Reservations are a two-step process.

Step one: Call Budget Charters at 724-246-1982 and ask for either Natalie or Donna. Let them know that you are a member of the WVU Retirees Association and are making reservations for the fireworks.

Step two: Go to Flashes of Freedom and reserve your space at the Retirees Association table. We’re asking that you let us know that you are joining us so that we can try to be sure we’re sitting together.

We look forward to seeing you on the 4th!
