Join your fellow retirees at the WVU Retirees Association annual meeting that begins at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at the Erickson Alumni Center. See the meeting agenda below. 

1:00-1:15 p.m.  Welcome

The WVU Retirees Association Board President will open the meeting, welcome members, introduce current members of the board, and give an overview of the afternoon. 

1:15 – 2:00 p.m.  Speaker

Our speaker is Wren Baker, WVU Vice President and Athletic Director. Baker is WVU’s 13th director of athletics.  He was named WVU’s vice president and director of intercollegiate athletics on Nov. 30, 2022. He has oversight of 18 varsity sports, a department budget of more than $90 million, approximately 250 employees and nearly 500 student-athletes.

   
2:00 - 2:15 p.m.  Election

We will elect two board members: a faculty member and a non-classified staff member.  Their bios will be online soon.  

Nominations for the board will also be accepted from the floor.  The nominee must be present and agree to be on the ballot.  He/she will be asked to introduce themselves to the membership. 

2:15 - 3:00 p.m. Reception

The reception is sponsored by the WVU Foundation.  Members are invited to socialize, enjoy the refreshments, and meet the WVU Mountaineer.
