Backpack Feeding Program – Every Third Wednesday of the School Year

From September through May

The WVURA members have decided to work as a group with the Backpack Feeding Program at Scott's Run Settlement House. During the school year, our role will be to pack bags with food that is sent home with school children so they have food over the weekend. The food is purchased by Scott’s Run Settlement House with grant funding. There are over 800 children enrolled in this program in Monongalia County.

We understand that not everyone will be able to be there every time, but the more helpers we have the faster it will go! If you would like to be a part of this group, send an email to retirees@mail.wvu.edu and we will forward your information to our volunteer coordinator.
