WVURA Book Club

Book Club

The WVURA Book Club will gather at 10 a.m. on the first Friday of every month (except July and August) in the Arts and Crafts Room at the Village at Heritage Point, One Heritage Point, Morgantown, WV (phone: 304.285.5575).

The April book is A Brief History of Everyone Who Ever Lived: The Human Story Retold Through Our Genes by Adam Rutherford.

The May book is Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood by Trevor Noah.

The June book has not been selected.

The Book Club does not meet in July or August.  However, a book has been selected for summer reading and will be discussed in September.

The September book is Leonardo da Vinci by Walter Isaacson.

The Book Club held its initial meeting on October 2, 2015. At that meeting, the group agreed tentatively to read one book a month and that book would be discussed at the following meeting. Also, members would bring to each meeting ideas about what kind of books to read and possible title suggestions for future readings.

The Book Club will be unique….no pressures, no dues, no book reports to give, no discussions to lead, no grades – just camaraderie and a cup of coffee! If you would like to join the club, just come to one of the meetings. We welcome new members.
