Discover Croatia, Slovenia and the Adriatic Coast
The West Virginia University Retirees Association presents Discover Croatia, Slovenia
and the Adriatic Coast, a Collette tour beginning on Thursday, August 6, and ending on Monday, August 17, 2020.
Members of the Retirees Association will travel along the Adriatic Coast for 12 days
and 11 nights to Dubrovnik, Split, Plitvice Lakes National Park, Opatija and the
Istrain Peninsula in Croatia then on to Ljubljana and Lake Bled in Slovenia.
The tour ends in Zagreb, Croatia.
Some of the things you will see on the tour are the medieval city of Dubrovnik (a
UNESCO World Heritage site), stunning sea views of the Adriatic Sea, Diocletian's
Palace and Plitvice Lakes (both UNESCO sites), the seaside resort of Opatija (known
as Croatia's Riviera), and the picturesque island in the center of Lake Bled while
on a Pletna boat ride.
The trip begins in Morgantown with your bus ride to the airport. Then it's
an overnight flight from Pittsburgh to Dubrovnik where you start your tour.
We have seats on hold for the Retirees Association and Collette is taking reservations
now.
If you would like to reserve your space for this trip, a $500 deposit is due by January
31, 2020. Final payment is due by June 7, 2020. If you make your reservation
and then change your mind, you can get a full refund up until February 7, 2020.
For trip pricing and details, visit the Collette online site at
Discover Croatia.
A brochure with more information about the trip and a reservation form is available
from Adolph Neidermeyer, the Association's board president and travel coordinator. You can reach Ade at 304-599-2953 or
