The Association held its annual meeting in April.  It began with a short introduction before our speaker, Jack Bowman, talked about how to write and publish novels without an agent.  After Jack, the president of the Association gave an update on our activities and asked a few directors to speak about our events and financial position.  The new Mountaineer was introduced and presented our current president, Bev Kerr, with an award for her service.  Bev's term is done in June.  The members also elected two members to the board.  Sonja Wilson will continue as the representative for classified staff and Guy Hornsby was elected as the at large director replacing Bev Kerr. Following the election, there was a dessert reception where retirees took time to visit with colleagues.
