All aboard the New Tygart Flyer!  Retirees traveled to Elkins WV to board the New Tygart Flyer for a four-hour ride on the diesel train along the Shavers Fork of the Cheat River to the High Falls of Cheat.  This wilderness excursion included a cold-cut lunch on our way to the Falls.  Afterwards, retirees had time to enjoy the Mountain State Forest Festival, one of the oldest and largest festivals in West Virginia.  The streets of Elkins were filled with forestry & wood exhibits, a juried art show, a photography exhibit, a quilt show, and lots of arts and crafts.
