On Thursday, October 18, 2018, members of the Association will travel by chartered bus to Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob, two homes in the Pennsylvania Laurel Highlands designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Both homes are National Historic Landmarks.
Our first stop at 8:45 a.m. will be Kentuck Knob, one of the last homes completed by Wright. The
house offers a “breathtaking panorama of the Youghiogheny River Gorge.”
Since our meal will be after the Fallingwater tour, you might want to bring
a snack to eat on the bus while we travel to Fallingwater.
At approximately 12:00 p.m., we'll begin our tour of Fallingwater. Fallingwater has been called one of the greatest architectural triumphs of the 20th century and is perhaps the best-known house that Frank Lloyd Wright ever designed.
After the Fallingwater tour, we'll stop at Ohiopyle to enjoy the scenery and a boxed
lunch from Panera Bread.
On you reservation form, you will choose your boxed lunch. Choices are:
We will leave the Mountaineer Mall at 7:30 a.m. and should return to Morgantown around 5:00 p.m.
The cost of the trip is $78.00 per person. The price includes transportation, a 15% saving on admission fees to both Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob, and the boxed lunch.
