Flight 93 National Memorial
Reservation deadline is Monday, August 18, 2025.
Retirees will travel to the Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville PA. The National Park Service calls it “A common field one day. A field of honor forever.” The Visitor Center Complex is open to visitors along with Memorial Plaza. The actual crash site is open only to Flight 93 passenger and crew family members.
After visiting the Flight 93 memorial site, we will travel to the
Remember Me Rose Garden that honors the Heroes of 9/11.
After the tour of the Rose Garden, we will stop for lunch on your own.
After lunch we will travel to the Quecreek Mine Rescue Site where nine miners were trapped underground for over three days. All nine miners were rescued. You will be able to walk up to the rescue shaft and to see the rescue capsule. The cost of this tour is included in your package.
The cost for this trip is $55 per person. We will leave the Mountaineer Mall at 8:00 a.m. and be back in Morgantown around 7:30 p.m. The group may choose to stop for dinner.

Refund Policy: Reservations are due by Monday, August 18, 2025.
On that day we will make our commitment to the bus company. As a result,
we will not be able to make any refunds after that date.
Making reservations is a three-step process. You need to: (1) reserve your
seat(s) on the bus, (2) write your check to the WVU Foundation, and (3) mail
your check to the Retirees Association (not to the Foundation).
