Morgantown History Museum Tour and Scavenger Hunt
Tuesday, March 12, 2024, 2:00 p.m.
Join retirees for a tour and scavenger hunt at the
Morgantown History Museum. The museum will open exclusively for retirees
on Tuesday, March 12, at 2:00 p.m. The museum is free to visit and you’ll
be among the first to see the renovations and new exhibits. Explore the history
of Monongalia County through an examination of artifacts and first-hand historical
accounts. The museum is a dynamic facility that protects, researches, and maintains
detailed exhibits about the region from prehistory to the present day. After
our tour, we’ll enjoy light refreshments.
The museum is located at 175 Kirk Street. There is a small free parking lot
at the museum that holds about eight vehicles. The best option for paid
parking is the lot on Chestnut Street beside where Black Bear used to be and
across the street from 123 Pleasant Street. From there you’ll walk about
a block to the museum. You can also park in the city lots behind Iron Horse
and walk down the hill to the museum.
To reserve your space and to help us be sure we have enough refreshments, please
register at
Morgantown History Museum. For more information, you can contact our
event coordinator, Sonja Wilson at
