This was our last bag packing for the school year. We packed bags with food for the school children to eat over the weekend when they can't get their meals in school. Now that school is out, we're also on break. We'll start up again in September. Join us then.
Even though it was 26 degrees outside and felt like 14, our faithful group still showed up to pack backpacks for the kids. Good group; fun time.

Backpack Feeding Program
If it’s the third Wednesday of the month, you can find us at Scott’s Run. We had a nice turnout for our volunteer effort and our group keeps growing. We packed food bags with weekend meals for school children in Monongalia County.
Our volunteers came through again. We had it easy this time. With only 16 totes to
fill and lots of people, we got done early. Our group keeps growing with lots of
new faces. We always work hard but have a good time. Many hands make light work.
Thanks, team.
Our volunteer group is growing. We had our biggest group ever at Scott’s Run
on Wednesday. We got all the bags packed and were in and out in our fastest
time yet.

Backpack Feeding Program
School is back in session and it’s time again for our volunteer commitment at Scott’s Run Settlement House for the Backpack Feeding Program. Thank goodness for new volunteers. We were shorthanded since several of our volunteers were on the Retirees Association trip to Colorado. But the newbies came through with flying colors.
