The picnic was a blast. The sun warmed us, the food nourished us, Soul Shine entertained us, and Jeff Harris portrayed us. We had a positive response from retirees about everything – food, music, art. The day was perfect for a picnic. Jeff drew the caricature of the board members who were there near the end. He did do one more caricature – it was of the students from Dining Services who were there throughout the day to make sure the meal and service were superb. The door prize went to Joyce Bower and two additional prizes to Debi Ryan-Beard and Mary Monahan.

We got a thank you note from one of our members, Judy Cress, that said: “My husband and I really enjoyed the picnic today at Krepps Park for the WVU Retirees and seeing friends (co-workers) once again. The food was good and it was nice listening to the band play oldies. Couldn’t have asked for a better day with all the sunshine. Judy.” Thanks for the note, Judy. We agree!
