Annual Picnic

Retirees met at the Westside Senior Center for our annual picnic.  We started off with a short memorial for Art Jacknowitz, our past president, who passed away in April.  We presented his wife Linda with a award recognizing his service to the association.  After that we enjoyed our catered lunch, the Backyard Classic from Catering Services.  Our thanks for the WVU Foundation for the refreshments.  During lunch, we gave away some beautiful prizes: a cobalt blue Blenko glass pitcher, a glass chiller bowl for dips with a base for ice, a garden flag, and WVU gear were some of the prizes.  Our president gave a short update on association activities.  After that, retirees spent time visiting and catching up with their friends.
