Retirees traveled to the Pennsylvania Maple Festival in Meyersdale PA. The Festival Park Complex was lined with artists, crafters, and concessions. The Historic Meyers Homestead was open for tours. There were demonstrations on how maple syrup is made and visitors could taste Spotza, a clear taffy made from the syrup. Pancakes with maple syrup and sausages were available at the Lions Club Pancake House. And the quilt show and the quilt boutique were open for tours.
